How to create a "network link" in Google Earth

1) Once you are in Google Earth, right-click on "My Places" under "Places" which is the middle section of the SideBar.  Choose "Add >" and then choose "Network Link".

2)  Once the dialog box appears, input the information.  "Name" can be the title of the layer you see on this page.  "Link" should be the URL that follows the title of the layer that is shown in green typeface on this page (or you can right-click on the title of the layer and choose "Copy Link Location").  Click on the "Refresh" tab and set it to refresh "Periodically" every "99 hours".  This will force Google Earth to update the content about every four days.  Click on [OK] and you should see the layer in "My Places".

3) Right-click on the layer that you just added and choose "Refresh".  This will force Google Earth to download the data for the very first time.  Otherwise the layer will not be loaded for another 4 days.

4)  If you have many layers under "My Places", you may want to create a folder called "San Bernardino County, CA" and move all the network links you just created and/or layers you just downloaded into that folder.
